Remington Arms Company, LLC has announced that it is now making available certain Remington Defense products for the civilian consumer market. Remington’s Defense Division designs and builds weapon systems heretofore exclusively for the US Military and law enforcement, and for allied nations around the world. Initial offerings include the R4GP (Remington Gas Piston) Carbine, R4 Carbine, PSR/MSR (Modular Sniper Rifles) and M2010 (US Army replacement for the M24 Sniper Rifle). They’re very pricey when you’re spending your own money.

Midwest Gun Works is now carrying Tikka accessories, magazines, Optilock scope mounts and rings, hard to find Tikka Rifle stocks and parts. If you don’t have a Tikka (made by Sako), you’re missing something.

Cheaper Than Dirt, which has .22 ammo listed at incredibly high prices (again), has Weatherby PA-08 Threat Response 20 ga. pump shotguns for just $229 + $10 shipping.

Tussey Custom has a six caliber 1911 combo, including .22 LR, 9 mm, .38 Super, .357 SIG, .40 S&W and .45 ACP, all on one Caspian frame. Price estimated at $4999 for the first caliber with an additional $500 for each caliber that fits that initial slide, or slide and barrel sets for the initial frame would be an extra $1200.

Browning has a new Cynergy Micro Midas 20 gauge over and under shotgun. 6 lbs. and 13″ length of pull (plus three, 1/4″ LOP adjustment spacers). $1870.

Bud’s Gun Shop has the Bullpup Unlimited conversion kit for 12 ga. Mossberg 500 pump shotguns on sale for $299.

Swarovski‘s new X5(i) Rifle Scopes, built for the long range shooter, have turrets with 20 MOA adjustment per revolution, a viewing window to show the user what revolution he or she is on, and ÂĽ MOA click adjustments. A spring retention and lever system exerts the same force on both turrets from the inversion system regardless of positioning. There is up to 116 MOA of elevation adjustment inside of a 30 mm tube and a 5X zoom range. The elevation, windage, and parallax turrets as well as inversion system are built from stainless steel components. The X5(i) also features a new subzero MOA function, allowing the shooter to come down 10 MOA (40 clicks) from a pre-set zero to shoot at closer distances. Illuminated versions offered. 2nd focal plane long range reticles will be available in 1 or 2 MOA increments in both illuminated and non-illuminated versions. The new scope will be available in two different models, X5(i) 3.5-18Ă—50 and X5(i) 5-25Ă—56, in Fall 2015.

King Shooters Supply has polymer coated hard cast lead pistol bullets. No lube required.

Lyman‘s new Pro-Touch 1500 reloading scale features a large, touch screen display with 7/8″ tall numbers and full size control buttons. It is accurate to +/ – 0.1 grain over its full 1500 grain capacity. The dual spout powder pan allows for easy use by either right-handed or left-handed reloaders. It will operate with either the supplied 115V AC power adapter or with three AAA batteries. $100.

Turkish manufacturer Matsan A.S. has its new Diamond SWAT 12 shotgun, a tactical-style, gas-operated semi-automatic that uses a detachable box magazine. Both 5- and 10-round magazines are available. The SWAT 12 has a pistol grip, four-position adjustable buttstock and a full length Picatinny rail plus three shorter Picatinny rails on the hand guard. The gun also has a flash suppressor. Weight about 7.3 lbs. 18.1″, 20″ or 22″ barrel choice.

(Note that in 2011, the BATFE attempted to ban the importation of certain shotguns they deemed to be unsporting under the unconstitutional “sporting purposes” test. These included the Saiga and Benelli shotguns. However, in November of that year, Congress passed and President Obama signed an appropriations bill that included a prohibition on the use of any government funds to implement the importation of any shotgun that had not already been banned from importation. The reading of the law may allow for the banning of the importation of brand new shotguns, but not existing ones that were already OK to import. We therefore do not know if the Diamond SWAT 12 will get the bureaucratic stamp of approval.)

Ranier Arms has some sort-of-covert rifle bags.
