SureFire’s new 2211X WristLight is the lightest weight, most affordable member of the WristLight family. It offers 300, 60, and 15 lumen outputs, ingeniously angled so they automatically align with your target when firing a pistol. $169.


Competition Electronics’ new Digital Link is a Bluetooth module for the ProChrono Digital chronograph, providing a wireless connection to some mobile devices. It works with Android and newer Apple devices (iPad 4 or newer and iPhone 4S or newer), uses a free app, allows control of your chronograph with a phone or tablet from up to 50 feet away, and handles statistics and weather data. $70.


Nightforce says its new SHV 3-10×42 scope is the most affordable riflescope they’ve ever made. I think it’s about $900.


Are you familiar with Dale Fricke Holsters? They’re biblical. (I guess he’s not Catholic — see last week’s newsletter.) I have to say I like the warranty.


Savage Arms has the new single shot Model 112 Magnum Target Rifle chambered for .338 Lapua (Lop-wah) Magnum. It has a 26″ heavy-profile barrel with a large three-baffle muzzle brake and Savage’s Target AccuTrigger, which can be user-adjusted down to 6 oz. Rifle weight is 12 lbs. $1177.


FNH USA has announced the FN 15 1776, a “starter” AR designed to be high performance, value-priced, and optics-ready. It includes many of the same features found in the FN 15 series like the standard 16″, alloy steel, button-broached barrel, 6-position collapsible stock, A2-style compensator, and sling attachments. $899.


If you’re my age, you may remember Ek military knives. They’re back. Ka-Bar is reintroducing them under the name Ka-Bar Ek Combat Knife Company, beginning with the Model 4, made from 1095 CrV, 12.625″ OAL with a 6.625″ double edged blade and a Celcon® sheath, both made in Olean, NY. $125.


Glock has new gray frames available in its Model 17, 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23 pistols. All models are available solely in Gen4 and will be distributed through Lipsey’s.


Kalashnikov USA announced this week that it is now selling AK-47 rifles and shotguns that have been manufactured at a US factory.
