Bushnell has introduced two new series of Elite® riflescopes for 2015 — the Elite 3500 and Elite 4500 now join the Elite 6500 riflescopes at the top of their hunting line of tough, bright scopes with RainGuard® HD coating and are backed by Bushnell’s 100% Bulletproof Money-Back Guarantee.

The new 3500 and 4500 series are redesigned to be more compact and feature 1″ tubes. The 3500 series includes models ranging from 2-7x 32mm and 3-9x 40mm to 4-12x 40mm. The 4500 series comes in configurations from 2.5-10x 40mm to 8-32x 40mm. I have an older model Elite and it is VERY nice.

Aimpoint‘s new Micro H-2 sight will be available for shipment in August 2015. Features include a new sight housing which allows the addition of front and rear protective flip covers, additional physical protection for the sight’s adjustment turrets, increased ruggedness for the sight’s internal electronic components, advanced optical lenses that allow for even better light transmission and provide a noticeable increase in clarity and performance for a more distinct and clearer dot in all conditions and situations.

The Micro H-2 can be mounted on nearly any rifle, shotgun, handgun or crossbow, and can be used with most existing mounts that fit the Micro H-1 including the Blaser saddle mount. The sight can also be mounted to a larger magnified scope with a 30mm or 34mm scope adapter giving the hunter ability to hunt at both short and long distances while providing faster target acquisition. The Micro H-2 can operate for up to five years of constant-on use, using just one CR-2032 battery, and is waterproof.

A newly modernized/upgraded AK-47 rifle was debuted in Russia by its maker, Kalashnikov Concern. The translation of exactly what changes were made was gibberish.

Replica Claymore Mine Hitch Cover — I gotta admit I want this one. But it’s a felony in some jurisdictions.

G2 Research has announced a new pistol cold tracer round that emits no heat or flame, and is claimed to be safe from starting fires or causing explosions in contaminated conditions. The 9mm round uses a copper-clad 95-grain FMJ bullet at 1150 fps (45 cal. to follow). No word on what it’s good for. About $1 per round.
