Here’s the arrest warrant recommended by D.C. Metro Police for NBC’s David Gregory for criminal illegal possession of a hi-cap magazine. The incident occurred Dec. 23, 2012 when Gregory displayed a 30-round magazine for effect while interviewing NRA EVP Wayne LaPierre on TV following the Newtown shootings.
In Washington, it is illegal to possess a magazine holding 10 rounds or more, even if empty. D.C. Attorney General Irvin Nathan declined to issue the warrant or prosecute, even though there would seem to be several million witnesses. But any of the rest of us “regular” people would be in jail.
