RJF/Hayden update

We understand that the child abuse charges brought against former “Sons of Guns” stars Stephanie Hayden Ford and Kris Ford have been dropped. We also have a report that Red Jacket Firearms “owner” Will Hayden was indicted on two counts of aggravated rape and one count of forcible rape, to which he pleaded not guilty. If convicted of aggravated rape, he faces a mandatory life sentence.

We also understand that “Chief Operating Officer” (TV term) Joe Meaux has been the actual owner of RJF apparently since Will Hayden got in trouble with the ATF over sloppy record keeping and inventory control and lost his FFL several years ago. The corporate structure of the company portrayed on TV was apparently just a big fake. That explains how Hayden got fired from the company he “owned” I suppose.

Meaux has since changed the name of the business to Meaux Guns and Ammo and excluded the Fords, who have their own Airsoft play place and CCW school.

Will Hayden has also now been ordered by a Baton Rouge state judge to pay more than $130,000 to his former business licensing partners, including Joe Meaux, who accused Hayden in a breach of contract lawsuit of entering into a secret trademark licensing pact with a Texas auto dealership that netted him thousands of dollars from the sale of Red Jacket Firearms edition Jeep Wranglers.

I’m not aware of any criminal convictions so far, and I don’t think the case has progressed beyond the indictment. Apparently he did lose the civil suit discussed above.

I understand he has pleaded not guilty and is scheduled to go to trial for multiple counts of aggravated rape on Aug. 22, 2016 in East Baton Rouge Parish. He also pleaded not guilty to aggravated rape and rude behavior with a juvenile in Livingston Parish, but no trial date there has been set yet.

He was convicted of multiple rape charges. One charge carries a minimum sentence of life in prison. He is reportly also on trail in other counties for more rape charges that will start in July.

This was reported in last week’s newsletter:

Former reality TV star Will Hayden, 51, who starred in the “Sons of Guns” program on the Discovery Channel, was unanimously convicted by an East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana, jury on two counts of aggravated rape and one count of forcible rape involving two preteen girls more than two decades apart. Hayden will be sentenced on May 11, and aggravated rape carries a mandatory sentence of life in prison. Hayden also faces sex crimes charges in Livingston Parish, including an aggravated rape count involving a 15-year-old girl and a sex crime charge involving his oldest daughter, who also was on the TV program.
