Ruger has its SP101 stainless steel revolver in .327 Federal Magnum again. This is a reintroduction of a gun that was dropped from the company catalog about a year or so ago. The first SP101 in .327 Federal Magnum was introduced (with a 3″ barrel) with the cartridge back in 2007. The new gun is a six-round, small frame, 29.5 oz. double-action revolver with a 4.2″ barrel and adjustable sights, rubber grip with checkered hardwood inserts. $719. We don’t know if this version will stick around, so if you want one, you might not want to wait.

KY Gun Co. has S&W M&P15 Sport carbines for as low as $530, shipped.

Ashley Performance, LLC is bringing to market original and new ideas from Ashley Emerson, renowned designer of sights, scope mounts, and other firearms accessories.

The Kel-Tec 5.56 RDB (Rifle Downward-eject Bullpup) features a rotary bolt with a spring loaded ejector and an extractor facing down. The spent case is pulled backwards along the top of the magazine and then ejected through a vertical chute. The hammer is U-shaped and runs outside the chute and above the magazine. The bolt travel is longer than traditional designs. Other advantages are gravity assisted ejection, higher bolt energy at feeding and a slower full auto rate (when applicable).

The RDB is built around a common steel skeleton formed by the receiver and barrel sub-assemblies. Bolt, bolt carrier, firing mechanism, ejector chute and bolt stop are identical for all variations. The short stroke gas operated piston is fully adjustable for different ammunition and muzzle attachments. Coming in fourth quarter 2015. $1,545.

Savage Arms has the new Landry Signature Series rimfire rifles (from the Landrys of “Swamp People” fame). But we notice that the History Channel blurs out the Savage logo on their rifles used on the show. All three rifles — the Rascal, Mark II and Model 93 — feature a rugged synthetic stock dipped in distinctive gator camouflage, as well as Troy Landry’s signature and “Choot ‘Em” logo, have the user-adjustable AccuTrigger, and are very reasonably priced.

Signal 9 Defense’s Reliant pistol is a break open, derringer type handgun with four 2.63″ barrels. It’s available with interchangeable barrels in .32 Mag., .32 ACP, .380 ACP, and .38 Special +P. The ACPs require a “moon” clip. Comes with a 4-round speedloader in the grip. 5.25″ OAL, 4.25″ H (without speed loader), 1.25″ wide, 16 oz. $499. Additional barrel sets $175.
