Last week’s item concerning NRA supporting gun control in Ohio was based on a report of the NRA-ILA Ohio State Liaison “promoting firearms provisions which tie Ohio law to the federal government.” Apparently this is a pattern with the rep, who is also unpopular in New Hampshire and Pennsylvania.

US Senator John Thune (R-SD), co-chair of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus, has announced that the omnibus appropriations bill for Fiscal Year 2015 includes a provision preventing the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from regulating lead in ammunition and fishing tackle for one year.
