- The “Accessory” Gambit: Why the Eleventh Circuit’s Mechanical Logic Fails the Second Amendment. And while we’re at it, show me where the Constitution grants the federal government the power to ban anything.
- A three-judge panel of the US First Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that illegal aliens do not have the same Second Amendment rights as American citizens. Well, duh.
- In its decision handed down late last month, Maryland’s top court struck down the portion of Montgomery county’s Bruen response bill that made it illegal to carry within 100 yards of a “public assembly,” including anyone traveling on a highway in Montgomery County. The county has several major thoroughfares that are used as commuter corridors for folks who work in and around Washington, D.C., and establishing “gun-free zones” that included highways like I-270 and the Capitol Beltway were designed to make it virtually impossible to carry almost anywhere in Montgomery County.

Enemies
- The Rockville, Maryland-based United Gun Shop filed a lawsuit accusing Capital One and Melio Payments of arbitrarily preventing it from using their payment services because it is in the gun business. The suit accuses Capital One and Melio Payments of violating numerous Maryland business laws including the Maryland Consumer Protection Act, causing commercial disparagement, and breach of contract. Remember the Trump administration directed federal banking regulators in August 2025 to ensure policies are in place to prohibit politically motivated debanking and stipulate that banking decision are only made based on individual, objective, and risk-based objectives. (Also see the report below from NSSF.) Ironically, Capital One issues the Bass Pro Shops branded credit card. Guess what Bass Pro Shops sells?

- “Rapid Mass Murder is the act; an Active Killer is the actor. The poor descriptive term active shooter fails to denote a criminal act, while insulting innocent active shooters such as our honorable military, police, and citizens that practice personal shooting training and/or compete in the legal sport of shooting competition. This poor term was selected and disseminated by both unthinking police spokesmen and our anxious anti-gun media.”
