Regal Entertainment Group, the country’s largest theater chain, has started checking patrons’ bags, backpacks and purses, to be sure you’re helpless. They had already banned carrying in their facilities, which of course resulted in victim-rich environments in places like Aurora, CO and Lafayette, LA. No word on checking holsters, pockets, etc.

And National Amusements has banned backpacks in its theaters.
