Election
It seems that Mike Espy, former US Congressman (D-MS), former US Secretary of Agriculture and current candidate for US Senate from Mississippi, is buddies with US Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), one of the worst socialist gun banners alive today. Mike, you’re known by the company you keep.
The “If it saves one life” lie
The number of medical malpractice deaths is nearly seven times higher than the number of deaths from gunfire, even when counting intentional shootings. It is 500 times the number of accidental fatal shootings. Remember that when you hear about some doctor or medical group trying to disarm you for your own good. Clearly, someone who doesn’t want you to be able to save your own life doesn’t have your best interest at heart.
This week, in the wake of an Illinois concealed carry permit holder’s heroic action of shooting at a criminal who was in a gun battle with police and who had shot an officer four times with a machine gun, the Chicago Sun-Times editorial board opined that “One brave rescue of a Cicero cop doesn’t justify concealed guns.” So if it saves a cop’s life, it’s still not justified. In other words, the cop’s gun isn’t justified, AND law-abiding citizen/victims’ and cops’ lives are worth less than the folks whose lives might be spared through gun control laws.

According to a study in the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy, which cites the Centers for Disease Control, the U.S. National Academy of Sciences and the UN International Study on Firearms Regulation, the more guns a nation has, the less criminal activity it has.

Las Vegas corrections officer Bryan Kline, 36, has reportedly been arrested on charges of child abuse and aiding a child in possession of a gun after his 9-year-old son was found with a .22 handgun and ammunition in his backpack at school.
