Following a Memorial Day Weekend during which 12 people were shot and killed and 43 more were wounded, gun-banning Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel said a large part of the solution to the problem is more gun control.
Also responding to that and to the shootings of two dozen people in Baltimore and more than 20 in New York City over the weekend, the unfortunately-named White House press secretary Josh Earnest also called for Congress to pass more gun control, saying “…certainly passage of some gun safety laws in Congress… …would be one thing that we could do to try to limit the violence.”
Chicago, Baltimore and NYC already have some of the strictest gun control laws in the country.
Amazon.com is banning any kind of laser pointer, laser aiming device, laser bore sighter and firearm laser sights.
The FBI has called upon the NYPD and other law enforcement agencies across the country to help track the growing population of Islamic State followers (apparently hundreds of them) in the US in an attempt to head off possible attacks on home soil.
Well, if we know who they are, I suggest that “tracking” them is not a complete response.
