This week’s “Smart Gun Symposium” had to make do without one of the key speakers — Rick Patterson, executive director of SAAMI — who missed the meeting due to weather.
Apparently Patterson then was unable to participate in the conference via a Skype connection, ironically because, as he explained it, “the technology is too unreliable,” and to top that off, there was an electronic malfunction at a press conference that prevented a short video from being shown.
As our report asks, “if technology isn’t reliable enough for a teleconference or a video, why should anyone trust their lives to ‘smart gun’ technology?”
Would you trust your family’s lives to a Microsoft gun?
