- A Broward County circuit judge ruled last week that a Florida state law barring people under age 21 from carrying concealed weapons violates Second Amendment rights.
- The US Supreme Court has declined to hear Iron Bar Holdings v. Cape, ending a five-year legal fight over whether hunters can “corner-cross” between corner-adjoining parcels of public land without trespassing on the private property comprising the other corners. By refusing to take up the appeal, the Supreme Court allowed the 10th Circuit’s unanimous decision to stand—making corner crossing legal in Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Kansas, and Oklahoma.
- The US Department of Justice says that Washington, DC’s ban on “large capacity” magazines is unconstitutional and refuses to prosecute.

Enemies
- In 2021, the Mexican government sued US gun manufacturers blaming them for Mexico’s violent crime. It claimed that up to 90% of guns recovered at Mexican crime scenes trace back to the US. But most of those guns flowing to Mexico and recovered at crime scenes there were sold legally to the Mexican government – by the US government. I guess US gunmakers should sue the Mexican government for misusing their products.
- Report on Everyclown‘s “gun training.” “If you require specific advice or expertise about your use, possession or ownership of a firearm, please consult a qualified professional.” Their words, not mine.
- Everyclown Claims Glock Redesign as “Major Victory.”
- Gun ban group: More guns = less crime.
- The US edition of the British Daily Mail has called a scoped, bolt-action rifle—in this case the .30-06-caliber Mauser Model 98 hunting rifle allegedly used to assassinate conservative activist Charlie Kirk on Sept. 10 in Utah—a “high-powered sniper rifle.” That is a 130-year-old design.
