- Last Friday, a three-judge panel for the US First Circuit Court of Appeals unanimously reversed a district court decision that blocked enforcement of Maine’s unconstitutional 72-hour waiting period for gun sales. Laughably, the panel determined that the law did not even implicate the plain text of the Second Amendment because it regulates conduct that “occurs before a person keeps or carries a gun,” rendering it likely constitutional.
- A new filing from the United States Attorney for Washington, DC, risks undoing a recent ruling against the city’s magazine ban. Worse, it could undermine a burgeoning circuit split on the overarching question of whether hardware bans violate the Second Amendment.

- The statement went on to say they “will authorize permitting officials to review service member requests to carry personally owned firearms,” and “if the rejection of an application is necessary, the rejection shall be in writing and explain the objective, clearly describable, and individualized basis for such decision. The review shall be a dispassionate and commonsense application of applicable law and standards.” But as one commenter noted, why you would trust a rejected person with arms in an official capacity?

- I have recently been dealing with a new red (green) dot sight (RDS) on a pistol carried IWB. I found that I had to adjust the holster angle, because when I had it canted muzzle-rear, it caused the RDS to interfere with the top of my belt and pants. I had to change the cant to somewhat more vertical so it would clear. Of course a higher ride holster would probably work better. Just FYI.
