Litigation
- Potential SCOTUS cases here, here, and here.
- Grassroots judicial report.
- “Dangerous and unusual.” That ain’t in the Constitution.
- USPS update.
- Grassroots legislative update.
- The US Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has overturned a ruling from Idaho District Judge B. Lynn Winmill last year that a domestic protection order against an east Idaho man unfairly violated his Second Amendment right to bear arms.
ATF
- President Donald Trump has officially named veteran ATF official Robert Cekada as his nominee to serve as Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. While Cekada is allegedly pro-gun rights and many in the gun sales industry seem to applaud the choice, I have deep misgivings about anyone who has spent at least 20 years enforcing unconstitutional laws.
NRA
- Update: NRA v. Ack Mac and Tony Makris.
- Timothy Knight’s Appeal To Members and Former Members.
- We note that many of the ousted corrupt “old guard” NRA Board members have landed over at the “independent” NRA Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that raises tax-deductible contributions (Friends of NRA banquets, etc.) in support of a wide range of firearm-related public interest activities. Therefore, we are suspicious of what’s going to happen to funds donated or raised for the Foundation, considering the theft of NRA’s funds on their watch.
- The NRA once again has discounted memberships for friends & family of high-tier members. $30 Annual or $600 Life, until Dec. 31, 2025. Let me know if you need a sponsor.
Enemies
- A member of gun-banning Illinois Senate President Don Harmon’s staff was held at knife point by a man posing as a constituent inside of the senator’s Oak Park offices last weekend. Not a DGU.
- Liars and Democrats. But I repeat myself. Firearm-related deaths among children.
- Is Anti-Gun Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) Headed for Exit? He ought to be headed for prison.
- The Fraternal Order of Police and the International Association of Chiefs of Police have officially come out in opposition to H.R. 38, the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2025, urging Congress in a letter to reject the bill if it comes up for a vote on the House floor.
- The Everytown Gun Safety (sic) Action Fund – their PAC for supporting anti-rights candidates – is trying to use the 154th anniversary of the NRA’s founding to raise money to ban guns. They are seeking $154,000 or $1,000 for each year the NRA has been around. Uhm, nope.
- Jewish New Yorkers rushing to buy guns for protection after anti-Israel Zohran Mamdani’s victory.

DGUs

- American Rifleman – November 14, 2025
- American Rifleman – November 17, 2025
- It’s not usually legitimate self defense if the perp is running away and not threatening anyone.
The Only Ones
- An unidentified Des Moines police officer was offloading his equipment, set his rifle on top of the police car, and then left and left that rifle there. The next unidentified officer came in, checked that car out, and didn’t see the rifle on the roof and drove away. A citizen pointed out the problem to the second officer.
Tactics & Stuff
- Hearing Protection Beyond Decibels: The Hidden Advantage of Suppressors. If OSHA was honest, it would require suppressors for all employees exposed to gunfire.
- Combat handgun retention.
- All about snubbies.
- Related: Perfecting your pocket draw.
- Shooting Through Doors and Walls.
- “Compared to almost any other rifle being made today, lever actions are more delicate and prone to failure.” Bummer.
- A 45-year-old Texas hunter died after he accidentally shot himself while removing a gun from a car, authorities said. Uhm, don’t.

Industry news
- The Everyclown gun ban group recently called on Ruger to halt production of the RXM, saying point-blank that “if Ruger continues on its present path, it faces similar litigation risks” to those brought against Glock in recent months, some of which have been stoked directly by the anti-gun billionaire-backed activist group. The RXM and the first five generations of the Glock pistol use similar firing mechanisms. Connecticut Attorney General William Tong sent Ruger a similar letter on the RXM. A few days later, Todd Seyfert, Ruger’s President and CEO, informed investors that the company plans on “building out the popular RXM pistol family with new grip frames, sizes, accessories, and configurations.”
- The Beretta 92 pistol design is now 50 years old.
- Donald Trump Jr.’s GrabAGun.com (PEW), the nation’s only publicly traded gun retailer, said it is growing despite a general downturn in the industry. But my check of their stock shows a year-to-date total return of negative 66.5%. Can someone explain that to me?
- Apparently someone has already modified a Glock “switch” to fit the new Glock Series V slide.
- Walther Arms, Inc. is suspending production of its legendary PPK, PPK/S, and PP legacy handgun lines for several years to update to the design.
- Sig. A Bothell, Washington resident has reportedly filed “a proposed class-action lawsuit” against Sig Sauer, alleging that the P320 semi-auto pistol has a safety defect which can result in unintentional discharges.
Products

- Black Friday sales.
- We previously reported the rumor that Ruger was getting back into the shotgun business. We now have word that they are bringing back the Red Label O/U shotgun.
